Evergreen™ 621 SI Belt

Key Features

  • Low Profile and Lightweight
  • Easy to pull regardless of patient strength
  • Silicone strips on the inside of the brace hold fast and prevent migration especially while moving and sitting
  • Utilizes Aspen’s proven SlickTrack™ mechanically advantaged tightening system

① A 2013 study assessed the effects of pelvic compression belts on one legged standing in patients with SI pain. Researchers reported, “The pelvic compression force provided by the PCB increases stiffness in the SIJ. This in turn unloads sensitized ligamentous structures and facilitates activation of the gluteus maximus during one-leg standing. Increased SIJ stiffness also makes it easier for patients to perform the ASLR.”—(Manual Therapy, 18 (2), 143-148)
② A 2015 study on gait in SIJ patients reported “Pelvic belts improve health-related quality of life and are potentially attributed to decreased SIJ-related pain. Belt effects include decreased rectus femoris activity in patients and improved postural steadiness during locomotion. Pelvic belts may therefore be considered as a cost-effective and low-risk treatment of SIJ pain.”—(PLoS ONE 10(8): e0136375. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0136375)
