Description

Comfortland Delta TLSO with ATE

The Delta TLSO with ATE (anterior thoracic extension) is designed to provide motion restriction for the thoracic and lumbar regions. The posterior extends from the sacrococcygeal junction to just inferior of the scapular spine with tongues providing lateral strength. The Anterior extends from the symphysis pubis to the sternal notch to restrict forward flexion and encourage proper posture. This user-friendly TLSO allows you to restrict the thoracic vertebra through precise compression with its unique closure system.

CL DL-599X Instructions
① A Cochrane Review found that lumbar supports are “effective for improving functional status” in patients with acute, subacute and chronic low back pain based on 3 high quality trials with a total of 410 patients (Cochrane Rev. CD001823, 2008).
② A 2009 clinical trial studying 197 patients with subacute low back pain found significantly more LSO users, 60% versus 40%, totally weaned off medication by trial’s end (Spine. 2009;34930:p215).
③ The authors of a 2011 pain management study praise the rapidity of symptom relief - viewing lumbar supports as a safe, non-invasive, cost-effective , non-pharmacologic tool for home use in pain flare-ups (Prac Pain Manage.p106).
④ Research studies find no adverse effects on either abdominal or back muscle strength (Joint Bone Spine. 2008 75(1):58, J Spinal Disord. 1992.;5(3):260).
⑤ A 2012 study of 40 patients with chronic low back pain found no negative changes in the paravertebral muscles after 6 months of use (Fukushima J Med Sci. 2012;58(1):60-65)
