Lumbar Traction Brace with Rigid Panels & Step Down Support

The patented Expander Max LSO features a unique air pocket expansion system that provides effective sagittal-coronal control. Posterior panel extends from sacrococcygeal junction to T-9 Vertebra and wraps around torso to provide lateral strength and support.

When inflated, the Expander provides traction between the inferior of the rib cage and the superior part of the trochanter creating weight-bearing forces away from the lower back and reducing pressure in the lumbar spine. The plastic panels on the Expander can be removed to adapt to all facets of the patient’s rehabilitation. The Expander is lightweight and can be discretely worn under normal clothing.

Expander Mechanism

The Expander Traction LSO is vertically expanded by approximately 7 cm (2.8”) providing spacing between the intervertebral disc.
11cm Tall before inflation | 18cm Tall after inflation
